Viña del Mar job fair attracts over 3,200 attendees

A two-day job fair held at Mall Marina in Viña del Mar drew more than 3,200 attendees seeking employment opportunities. The event, organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Viña del Mar, the Regional Ministry of Labor and Social Security, and other local organizations, featured 16 participating companies offering over 500 vacancies for the Valparaíso Region and Santiago.

Long queues formed at the venue, with some applicants arriving up to three hours before opening. Organizers noted that the high turnout reflects the current regional unemployment rate, which stands at 10.4%.

Rolando Rojas, manager of Mall Marina, stated that the high participation demonstrates the regional need for employment and aligns with the company’s social responsibility goals. Participating companies included Esval, Ebi Chile, Upcom, Gestora B y C, and others, alongside an information stand from the Carabineros de Chile Training School.
