Via Prati redevelopment project launched with 4.2 million euro investment

The Province of Pescara has launched a major structural redevelopment and safety project for Via Prati, a strategic road connecting Pescara, Montesilvano, Spoltore, and the Vestina area. The project is funded by over 4.2 million euros through the Abruzzo Region’s FSC 2021–2027 program.

Rather than simple resurfacing, the intervention aims to address the root causes of long-standing structural issues. Key improvements include the construction of a new roundabout at the intersection with Via Valle Fuzzina, deep roadbed reconstruction, and advanced drainage systems to manage water runoff. Additional upgrades will feature new lighting, enhanced safety barriers, updated signage, and video surveillance.

Province President Giorgio De Luca and Regional Council President Lorenzo Sospiri emphasized that the works are designed for long-term durability to ensure the stability of this vital transit axis. The project is part of a larger regional funding package exceeding 9 million euros, which also includes interventions in Tocco da Casauria and Montebello di Bertona.
