Viacredi to incorporate Acredicoop following member approval

Viacredi has received approval from its members to incorporate Acredicoop following a joint extraordinary general assembly. The merger process, which involved discussions with 33,708 members, is now awaiting analysis and approval from the Central Bank of Brazil and the Board of Trade of Santa Catarina.

Upon successful ratification, Viacredi will expand its presence to 34 municipalities across Santa Catarina and Paraná, bringing its total membership to approximately 1.14 million people. The consolidated entity will manage R$ 18.6 billion in assets, R$ 10.7 billion in credit portfolios, R$ 13.3 billion in total deposits, and a net equity of R$ 3.8 billion.

Executive Director Marcelo Cestari stated that the move aims to increase financial robustness and investment capacity while maintaining the cooperative's core focus on member relationships. The merger follows a strong performance period for Viacredi, which reported a net result of R$ 405.3 million for the first half of 2026.
