Viagrande to host event on the legacy of Judge Rocco Chinnici

A public event titled ‘L'eredità del coraggio. Percorsi di memoria e giustizia per costruire il futuro’ will be held on September 12 at the Chiesa Madre Santa Maria dell’Idria in Viagrande. The initiative aims to transform the historical memory of the fight against the mafia into an active exercise of citizenship.

The discussion will feature Caterina Chinnici, a magistrate and MEP, who will share insights regarding her father, Judge Rocco Chinnici, the creator of the anti-mafia pool who was assassinated in 1983. Joining her are journalist Felice Cavallaro, who collaborated with Chinnici, and Don Vittorio Rocca, a professor of moral theology, who will provide an ethical and social perspective on justice and responsibility.
