Viamaterras Miyazaki to attempt Guinness World Record for tamago kake gohan

Viamaterras Miyazaki, a women's football club in the Plenus Nadeshiko League, will attempt a Guinness World Record on September 20, 2026. The challenge aims to set the record for the “most people making tamago kake gohan simultaneously.”

The event will take place at the Ichigo Miyazaki Shintomi Soccer Field in Shintomi, Miyazaki Prefecture. The club is seeking 500 participants, aged third grade and above, to follow specific procedures to crack eggs and prepare the rice dish at once. Participation is free, and those who join will receive a ticket to the club's match against Okayama Yugo Belle scheduled for later that day.

The initiative is supported by Shintomi Town, Fusion Co., Ltd., and the Koyu Foundation. It is designed to foster community connections between players, supporters, and local residents through food and sports.
