Viana do Alentejo train collision leaves three injured

A collision occurred in the Viana do Alentejo municipality, Évora district, involving a passenger train and a heavy goods vehicle. The accident took place at a private level crossing located between Alcáçovas and Vila Nova da Baronia.

Three people were injured in the crash, one of whom is in serious condition. The individual with serious injuries was traveling in the truck. Emergency response efforts included 21 personnel from the fire department, GNR, and INEM, as well as a helicopter deployed to assess the scene.
