Viana do Castelo hosts S+T+ARTS Day to explore science, art, and water

Viana do Castelo is hosting S+T+ARTS Day on October 3, an event combining the AQUA MOTION and Viana STARTS initiatives. The program focuses on the intersection of science, technology, art, and water resources.

A central feature of the event is the S+T+ARTS Aqua Motion Educational Workshop, known as the Hydro Play Tour. This participatory experience uses games, fiction, and performance to encourage participants to explore their relationship with water across the local territory.

The day marks the conclusion of five S+T+ARTS AQUA MOTION residencies. Over several months, artists worked from the Lima River to the Atlantic coast, collaborating with researchers and local communities to integrate scientific knowledge with artistic creation. These residencies are managed by INOVA+ in collaboration with the Viana do Castelo City Council.
