Viana do Castelo launches mental health exhibition

The Union of Parishes of Viana do Castelo (Santa Maria Maior and Monserrate) and Meadela are launching an itinerant exhibition titled “Saúde Mental – O que não se vê — 5 locais, 5 realidades” (Mental Health – What is not seen — 5 locations, 5 realities).

The exhibition will travel through five distinct settings to address various aspects of mental health: the street, schools, the Public Security Police (PSP), the J. Canão center, and Caridade. Each location will feature a mental health professional and an artist to facilitate dialogue and awareness.

Key themes include the importance of rest, anxiety and bullying in schools, stress and trauma among police officers, professional burnout, and the challenges of aging, such as loneliness and social isolation.
