Viana do Castelo Mayor visits Outeiro to inspect local works

Luís Nobre, the Mayor of Viana do Castelo, visited the parish of Outeiro this weekend to meet with the local Junta executive and inspect ongoing and planned infrastructure projects.

A primary focus of the visit was the Outeiro Kindergarten and Primary School. The municipality has been investing in the school's structural rehabilitation and modernization to improve comfort and well-being. Recent improvements include interior restoration, climate control upgrades, and the replacement of old fiber cement roofing with safer materials to ensure interior health and safety.

In addition to educational facilities, the Mayor inspected several other local improvements, including the Junta's vehicle fleet, pedestrian access to the local cemetery, various paved roads, rainwater drainage systems, and picnic areas.
