In response, Democratic Party deputy Marco Furfaro has filed a parliamentary inquiry with Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi. Furfaro argued that such actions are not mere carelessness but could actively compromise the safety of officers and allow individuals to evade law enforcement.
Local opposition parties in Viareggio have filed an urgent motion in the City Council, demanding that Mayor Sara Grilli provide immediate clarifications. The opposition has called for Salemi’s resignation or the revocation of his duties if his involvement is confirmed.
