Viareggio election: Court orders ballot verification in four sections

The Regional Administrative Court (TAR) of Tuscany has ordered a verification of ballots in four polling sections following a challenge to the municipal election results in Viareggio. Sara Grilli, the Mayor of Viareggio, expressed serenity regarding the ruling, stating she welcomes the judicial process and will provide full cooperation. She emphasized the importance of distinguishing facts from hypotheses to restore certainty to the electoral process.

Federica Maineri, the petitioner behind the legal challenge, described the ruling as a victory for transparency. Her legal team noted that the court rejected claims of inadmissibility, finding that the allegations presented could potentially lead to the partial or total annulment of the election results.
