Viatores Quartet to perform at Young Stars Chamber Music Festival

The Viatores Quartet is scheduled to perform at the ‘Young Stars Chamber Music Festival’ organized by Kulturkreis Hösel from November 6 to 8. The festival will feature performances in Ratingen-Hösel and Heiligenhaus-Isenbügel.

The ensemble recently won first prize in the string quartet category at the 75th ARD International Music Competition in Munich, receiving a 30,000 euro prize along with the audience award and a special prize for the best interpretation of a commissioned work. The quartet was founded in 2023 at the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin and consists of violinist Johannes Brzoska, British violinist Louisa Staples, Portuguese violist Miguel Erlich, and Turkish cellist Umut Sağlam.

During the three festival evenings, the quartet may be joined by additional musicians playing piano, clarinet, and cello to showcase a wide stylistic range of chamber music.
