Vibo Valentia concludes third Gregorio Prestia Memorial sculpture exhibition
The third edition of the Gregorio Prestia Memorial is set to conclude on October 30 at Palazzo Gagliardi in Vibo Valentia. The sculpture collective, themed ‘Art, Sculpture, Memory, and Territory,’ is part of the Biennale Sez. Arte organized by the association ‘Vibo Città Antica – Il Salottino’ with support from the local municipality.
The event was established by engineer Mario Prestia to honor the legacy of his father, the historical local sculptor Gregorio Prestia. The exhibition serves as a dialogue between generations of sculptors, utilizing the historic spaces of Palazzo Gagliardi to connect artistic heritage with community identity.
The closing ceremony will feature a gala evening hosted by Domenico Grillo, president of ‘Il Salottino,’ and moderated by writer Maria Concetta Preta. The event will include the presentation of participation certificates to the artists. The exhibition, curated by Ivana Napoli, previously featured a career recognition award for Professor Michele Zappino of the Brera Academy.
