Vibo Valentia council fails to reach quorum amid opposition criticism

Opposition members in Vibo Valentia have accused the city's majority of failing to attend a council meeting, resulting in a lack of a legal quorum. This absence prevented the discussion of two significant proposals: one regarding nursery schools and another concerning the establishment of a University Hub in Vibo Valentia.

Representatives from several groups, including Cuore Vibonese, Forza Italia, Identità Territoriale, Insieme al Centro, and Fratelli d’Italia, stated that the majority's absence is not an isolated incident. They argued that instead of voting against proposals, the majority is avoiding debate by failing to appear in the chamber, thereby depriving the city of necessary political discussion.
