Prison police conducted an extraordinary dawn raid at the Vibo Valentia prison in Italy, resulting in the seizure of 20 mobile phones. The operation aimed to address security concerns regarding unauthorized communication devices within the detention facility, which can facilitate illicit contact with the outside world and criminal organizations.
The National Autonomous Prison Police Union (SiNAPPe) praised the professionalism and dedication of the officers involved. While celebrating the success of the search, union representatives Fabio Viglianti and Cristina Busà emphasized the need for better working conditions and adequate staffing to support personnel facing high workloads and resource challenges.
