Viborg and Skive to host Byplanmødet 2027 urban planning conference
Viborg and Skive municipalities have been selected as joint hosts for the national urban planning conference, Byplanmødet 2027, scheduled for October 7–8, 2027. The announcement was made following the conclusion of this year’s conference in Rødovre Municipality.
Organized by the Danish Urban Planning Laboratory, the annual event serves as a national forum for planners, advisors, and politicians to exchange experiences and discuss the development of cities, villages, and landscapes.
Viborg Mayor Katrine Fusager Rohde noted that the two municipalities offer complementary strengths. Skive will highlight green transition, urban development, and the Limfjord area, while Viborg will showcase its cathedral quarter, urban railway area, and creative environments.
