Viborg HK and Team Esbjerg unveil 2026/27 women's handball squads

Viborg HK announced its provisional squad for the 2026/27 season, adding Norwegian backcourt player Ragnhild Valle Dahl from Odense Handball, left‑winger Robin van Galen from VOC Amsterdam and right‑winger Trine Østergaard returning from CSM București. Departures include Laura Borg, Anne Hykkelbjerg, Louise Søndergaard, Elma Örtemark and Maria Fisker, who will continue her career in the Faroe Islands as a player‑assistant coach. Coach Anders Friis confirmed the roster still targets a top‑three finish in the Danish women’s league.

Team Esbjerg also released its roster, with Norwegian goalkeeper Silje Solberg‑Østhassel joining from Vipers Kristiansand to replace Anna Kristensen, who moved to Ferencváros. New backcourt addition is Norwegian player Henriette Espetvedt Eggen from Tertnes HE. The club also appointed Rasmus Glad Vandbæk as assistant coach. Despite the turnover, head coach Tomas Axnér expects the squad, featuring stars such as Henny Reistad, Nora Mørk and Rikke Iversen, to contend for the Danish championship and the Champions League.
