Viborg HK Upsets Favorites Odense Handbold 27-26 in Generation Handball

In the opening match of the Generation Handball pre‑season tournament, Denmark’s Viborg HK beat pre‑season favourites Odense Håndbold 27‑26. Odense were missing several key players (Anna Vyakhireva, Helene Fauske, Maren Aardahl, Louise Burgaard) while Viborg were without pregnant Sara Hald.

Viborg rallied after a close first half, with new signing Ragnhild Valle Dahl delivering strong defence against her former club. Off the bench, Ofelia Shoai Hallberg impressed on the wing. The win follows Viborg’s earlier victory over Ikast, signalling a strong start to the season despite Odense remaining a title contender.
