Vic Burley receives conditional discharge in disorderly conduct case

Clemson University defensive tackle Vic Burley has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor public disorderly conduct charge in Clemson University Municipal Court. The judge granted Burley a conditional discharge, a legal option for first-time offenders that allows for the dismissal of charges upon the successful completion of specific requirements.

To clear his record, Burley must remain free of criminal trouble for six months, complete a drug or alcohol education program, perform 24 hours of community service outside of football activities, and attend Clemson University’s IMPACTed education course. He is also required to pay a $150 participation fee and provide proof of completion to the court before the six-month period expires.

Despite the legal resolution, Burley remains under indefinite suspension from the Clemson football team. Head coach Dabo Swinney has not provided further comment since his initial statement regarding the arrest.
