Vice Ganda urges Filipinos to vote responsibly amid flooding

Comedian and television host Vice Ganda has urged Filipino citizens to vote more responsibly, citing the severe flooding and storm damage currently affecting Metro Manila and neighboring provinces as a consequence of poor political choices.

During an episode of the noontime show ‘It’s Showtime’, Vice Ganda criticized the practice of selling votes for small monetary amounts, specifically mentioning instances where voters accepted ₱5,000 during elections. The host argued that such decisions lead to long-term hardships, such as inadequate disaster management and flooding that endangers homes.

Vice Ganda emphasized that voters play a critical role in determining the country’s future and encouraged the public to be more discerning when selecting officials to ensure solutions to long-standing national problems.
