Vice President Edmand Lara challenges critics and presents controversial audio

Bolivian Vice President Edmand Lara has issued a defiant response to critics questioning his performance within the administration of Rodrigo Paz. Lara reaffirmed his campaign promise to denounce corruption, even if it involves members of his own government, stating he is prepared to face any consequences for his actions.

In a related development, Lara presented a third audio recording allegedly featuring political advisor Fernando Cerimedo and Government Minister Marco Antonio Oviedo. The recording concerns protests in San Julián and reportedly contains instructions to detain protesters and cut essential services, such as electricity and internet, to the municipality. Lara questioned how a foreign citizen could allegedly issue orders to Bolivian ministers regarding the fundamental rights of citizens. He announced that he will submit this audio, along with two other recordings, to the Public Ministry for forensic analysis to verify their authenticity.
