Vice President Gibran Rakabuming visits West Sulawesi

Vice President Gibran Rakabuming conducted a working visit to the Mamuju and Mamasa regencies in West Sulawesi on November 2, 2026. During his visit to Bebanga Village in Mamuju, he inspected a house renovation program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto. Despite heavy rain and broken bridge access that required him to travel by motorcycle, the Vice President emphasized that housing improvements must prioritize sanitation and health to serve as an intervention against stunting.

In Mamasa, the Vice President inspected educational facilities, including SMAN 1 Mamasa. After meeting with student representatives who requested better sports, arts, and religious facilities, he acknowledged the dilapidated state of the school, which reportedly dates back to the 1980s, and committed to its revitalization. His itinerary also included visits to local hospitals and community dialogues to ensure government programs are reaching those in need.
