Vicente Sánchez and Zoraima Cuello meet to advance Dominican technology

Vicente Sánchez Henríquez, president of the Permanent Commission on Information and Communication Technologies (TIC) of the Chamber of Deputies, met with Zoraima Cuello, technology lead for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), to discuss digital transformation in the Dominican Republic.

The leaders focused on building political consensus to drive public policies regarding innovation, artificial intelligence, and human talent development. Sánchez Henríquez emphasized that technological advancement should be a national priority that transcends partisan differences, stating, “Technology has no party colors.”

Discussions included the promotion of STEM education, the development of a digital economy, and the creation of a modern regulatory framework to leverage emerging technologies. The meeting highlighted the need for cooperation between the National Congress, political parties, the private sector, and academic institutions.
