Jorge Viana campaigns in Rio Branco ahead of Acre elections

With one week remaining before the October 4 elections, Jorge Viana has conducted campaign activities in Rio Branco, Acre. Viana participated in a mass at the São João Evangelista Community and visited residents in the Cidade do Povo neighborhood.

During his visits, Viana highlighted the historical importance of the Cidade do Povo project, which provides housing and infrastructure such as schools, health units, and markets. He also emphasized the resumption of housing investments under President Lula’s administration. In Acre, 3,400 homes are contracted for the 2023–2026 cycle, totaling R$ 510.8 million in investments. Specifically in Cidade do Povo, four construction fronts are working on 1,000 homes with approximately R$ 146.5 million in federal resources.

Viana also held a campaign walk through the center of Rio Branco, meeting with local merchants and workers. He noted his personal connection to the area and recalled his efforts as a senator to secure federal funds for projects like the Shopping Popular.
