Vicenzaoro jewelry exhibition faces pro-Palestinian protests in Italy

Pro-Palestinian activists held demonstrations surrounding the Vicenzaoro international jewelry exhibition in Vicenza, Italy. Under the campaign titled ‘Vicenza for Palestine’, protesters gathered to oppose the participation of Israeli companies and exhibitors at the event.

Participants displayed large Palestinian flags and placards with messages such as ‘Gaza’ and ‘Free Palestine’ to condemn actions in Gaza. The protesters argued that the diamond and jewelry industry plays a significant role in supporting the Israeli economy and called for international restrictions on the sector to exclude related companies from global exhibitions.

The Vicenzaoro exhibition, which runs from September 4 to September 8, is a major international event for the gold, jewelry, and gemstone industry, featuring approximately 1,300 brands from 40 countries.
