Vico Equense youth face legal threat over public soccer games

In Vico Equense, a group of approximately thirty children and preadolescents has organized a self-managed local soccer tournament in Piazza Siani. The group has developed a structured system including four teams, printed jerseys, weekly training sessions, and tactical studies. The youth also engage in community-building activities such as electing a player of the day and conducting interviews.

However, this spontaneous use of public space has faced opposition. A local resident has reportedly threatened legal action through a lawyer, seeking to restore silence to the square. The conflict highlights a generational tension between the youth's desire for social interaction in public spaces and residents' demands for quietude.
