Vicopelago monastery to host researchers for cultural reuse project

The former Vicopelago monastery, a historic site dating back to 1332, is undergoing a revitalization process aimed at cultural reuse and community reintegration. To support this initiative, the monastery will host a Summer School from August 30 to September 6.

Organized as part of the University of Bologna's summer programs, the event will bring together 22 students and researchers. The participants will work to design a cultural project that ensures the complete reuse of the complex while respecting its historical significance and social importance to the local community. The program has attracted international interest, with attendees expected from Germany, the Netherlands, France, the United States, and South America.
