Vicopisano signs friendship pacts with San Marino Castles

The Municipality of Vicopisano has officially signed friendship pacts with two Castles of the Republic of San Marino: the City of San Marino and Montegiardino. The signing took place during the 29th Medieval Festival of Vicopisano on September 5 and 6.

This agreement is the result of a process initiated in 2022, aimed at fostering collaboration between territories that share medieval history, environmental heritage, and a commitment to cultural preservation. The pacts establish a framework for concrete cooperation in culture, tourism, sports, and regional promotion.

The formal signing was attended by Vicopisano Mayor Matteo Ferrucci, Vice Mayor Fabiola Franchi, Captain of Castello Alberto Simoncini of the City of San Marino, and Captain of Castello Giacomo Rinaldi of Montegiardino. The event was celebrated publicly during a medieval dinner in the Piazza del Palazzo Pretorio.
