Vicovu de Sus Police Seize 58 Counterfeit Perfumes
On 17 July 2026 at around 12:10, a patrol from the Vicovu de Sus police received a tip about a person selling counterfeit perfumes in the town market. Officers located the seller, identified as Petru L. (also reported as Linu Linu‑Petru), who was displaying a variety of branded fragrances on a stall.
The police inventory recorded 58 items – including 14 Valentine Milano, 8 Savage For Men, 6 Lush Cherry, 6 Athena, 2 In‑Victory Gunmetal, 6 Hugu Pour Homme, 6 1 Billionaire perfumes and several body sprays. The seller claimed the merchandise originated from Birmingham, United Kingdom, but could not provide any import or conformity documents. The products were seized, taken to the police station for cataloguing, and a criminal case was opened for the offence of placing on the market a product bearing a trademark identical or similar to a registered one without proper authorization.
