Victim of kidnapping in Goiás to relocate to Brasília for protection
Emiliane Tamara Nunes Carvalho, a nursing technician who was kidnapped and held captive for five days by her ex-husband in Águas Lindas de Goiás, has decided to relocate to the Distrito Federal with her two children. The move is intended to ensure her safety and provide access to specialized social assistance programs.
Distrito Federal Governor Celina Leão met with Carvalho to guarantee support through three specific government initiatives: social rent for housing, the Viva Flor protection program, and psychological assistance. The decision follows Carvalho's rescue by the Specialized Policing Company (CPE) after her ex-partner, Ailton Rodrigues de Souza, was apprehended by police.
Reports indicate that Carvalho had previously sought protective measures against her ex-husband, though a prior request for such measures had been denied by the Goiás Court of Justice.
