Victims of violence protest in Mexico for justice and security

Victims of crime and violence held protests in different regions of Mexico to demand justice and government intervention. In Cancún, members of the Madres Buscadoras association and the Colectivo Femenil Xtabay demonstrated at Playa Delfines. They accused the State Attorney General's Office and various judicial authorities of negligence, omissions, and irregularities in handling cases involving crimes against women and missing persons.

In Apatzingán, protesters interrupted an official event attended by President Claudia Sheinbaum to highlight the ongoing crisis in the Tierra Caliente region. Demonstrators displayed signs reporting homicides, forced displacements, disappearances, and injuries caused by landmines. They called for specific support for women and children displaced by criminal groups and urged the federal government to address the extreme criminality affecting local communities.
