Victor AD apologizes to Tiwa Savage over unreleased song

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Victor AD has issued a public apology to veteran artist Tiwa Savage via an open letter on social media. The apology concerns an unreleased remix of his song ‘Wetin We Gain’, which featured a verse from Savage.

Victor AD expressed regret for not releasing the collaboration and stated that he should have taken accountability for the situation much sooner. While he noted he could provide various explanations for why the track was never released, he emphasized that none of those reasons outweighed the creative effort and love Savage contributed to the project. He also praised Savage for her significant impact on the Afrobeats culture.

Tiwa Savage responded to the letter on social media, stating, “I appreciate this. God knows the reason for everything. All love.”
