Victor Jansen calls for firm right-wing opposition in Distrito Federal

Victor Jansen, the youngest elected district deputy for the Distrito Federal, is calling for the right-wing political bloc to maintain a rigorous opposition following the presidential elections. Jansen, a member of the Liberal Party (PL) who secured 32,120 votes, will join the Legislative Chamber of the Distrito Federal in 2027.

Jansen argues that conservative representatives, including state and federal deputies as well as governors, must honor their campaign commitments and resist initiatives from the left that he believes could lead to economic setbacks or contradict conservative principles. His political profile is characterized by alignment with former President Jair Bolsonaro and engagement with evangelical and academic movements.
