Victor Joseph faces uncertain future at Olympique Marseille

Haitian attacking midfielder Victor Joseph is reportedly in conflict with Olympique Marseille, potentially leading to a transfer in January. After Sampdoria attempted to sign the 20-year-old during the summer transfer window, Marseille rejected the offer, which was described by different sources as being either too low or consisting primarily of performance bonuses and a percentage of a future sale.

Joseph has been excluded from the first team under manager Bruno Genesio and has been assigned to the club’s reserve team in the French fifth division. While his entourage suggests his exclusion stems from a previous altercation with a reserve team official, reserve coach Romain Ferrier attributes the situation to a lack of competition and the need for the player to improve his performance.

Reports indicate tension within the club, with some witnesses claiming Joseph has displayed a poor attitude during training sessions. Given his current lack of playing time, his representatives are reportedly seeking a move to a new club during the upcoming winter transfer window.
