Victor Kløve to leave Frisch Auf Göppingen after current season

Danish handball player Victor Kløve will leave the German Bundesliga club Frisch Auf Göppingen following the conclusion of the current season. Despite having previously extended his contract until 2028, Kløve has chosen to exercise a release clause in his agreement to join a club with international ambitions.

Kløve joined Göppingen in the summer of 2024 from the Swedish club IFK Kristianstad. After an initial season of adjustment, he has become a key player for the team, noted for his dynamic play in both defense and offense.

Team manager and coach Ben Matschke expressed regret over the departure, stating, “Victor Kløve has developed fantastically with us over the last two years... It is a pity that he is leaving us before his contract expires, but we also understand his decision.” Kløve stated that the move is a step to seek a new challenge in his career.
