Victor Lab reinstates waiter after controversial customer dispute
A 17-year-old waiter at the Victor Lab in Riccione has been reinstated following a controversy involving an offensive note written on a customer's order. The incident began when a customer, Maria Clara, requested well-cooked eggs, prompting the waiter to write an insulting remark on the receipt regarding the request.
The waiter served a three-day suspension before returning to his position. Luciano Colono, the owner of the establishment, stated that the decision to reintegrate the young man was based on forgiveness, describing the incident as a mistake made by a teenager that has since been addressed. Colono noted that the employee has apologized and understood his error.
Maria Clara clarified that she had not requested the waiter's dismissal, stating that she sought accountability and an apology rather than punishment. The establishment had previously attempted to resolve the matter by waiving the bill and offering complimentary products, which the customers declined.
