Victor Micula conviction upheld by Romania's High Court
The High Court of Cassation and Justice in Romania has rejected the final extraordinary appeals filed by Victor Micula and former police officer Camelia-Maria Erdei. This decision upholds the previous ruling issued by the Alba Iulia Court of Appeal in March 2026.
The case involves the illegal access of police information systems. By rejecting the cassation appeals, the supreme court has made the conviction final. The defendants were also ordered to pay 300 lei each in judicial expenses to the state.
