Victor Osimhen linked to Premier League clubs amid transfer discussions

Former Manchester United striker Andy Cole has stated that Nigerian international Victor Osimhen possesses the qualities necessary to succeed in the Premier League. Despite being linked with clubs such as Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United, the 27-year-old Galatasaray forward has yet to move to England.

Cole noted that while Osimhen’s goalscoring record in Italy and Turkey proves his capability, transfer deals involve complex factors beyond simple fees and salaries. Former goalkeeper Brad Friedel added that financial structures and wage expectations present significant hurdles. Specifically, Osimhen’s estimated €20 million salary could make him one of the top ten earners in the Premier League, potentially complicating compliance with Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Osimhen has a proven track record across Europe, including successful stints at Napoli, Lille, and Charleroi. He currently plays for Galatasaray, where he has recorded 65 goals in 78 appearances.
