Victor Osimhen receives high praise from Turkish football figures

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has been lauded by Turkish football experts following his impactful performances in the Süper Lig. Former goalkeeper Volkan Demirel described the Nigerian forward as the greatest striker in the history of the Turkish Süper Lig, placing him ahead of notable attackers such as Nicolas Anelka and Mario Gómez.

Demirel highlighted Osimhen’s exceptional qualities, noting that players of his caliber are rare in the league. Since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli for the 2024/25 season, Osimhen has been a decisive figure, previously recording 37 goals across all competitions and finishing as the league's top scorer with 26 goals.

Additionally, former referee and pundit Ahmet Çakar suggested that Osimhen possesses the talent to be the top scorer in the English Premier League. While Çakar noted that the striker's recent performance in a Champions League match against Barcelona was underwhelming, he maintained that Osimhen is capable of playing for any major club in the world.
