Victor Osimhen set for Galatasaray return after injury

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen is scheduled to return to action on October 9 against Kasımpaşa, following a month-long absence due to a right adductor muscle strain. The injury, sustained during a derby against İstanbul Başakşehir on September 4, forced the Nigerian forward to withdraw from Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with the Super Eagles.

Osimhen's absence coincided with a decline in Galatasaray's attacking output, as the team scored only two goals in the three matches following his injury. His return is considered critical as the club prepares to host Barcelona in a UEFA Champions League fixture four days after the Kasımpaşa match.

Other Nigerian players are also making headlines in European leagues. Ademola Lookman continues his tenure at Atlético Madrid, while Kelechi Iheanacho has seen increased impact at Bursaspor. Paul Onuachu recently scored twice for Trabzonspor before sustaining a knock, and Wilfred Ndidi remains a regular starter for Beşiktaş.
