Victor Osimhen wins multiple football honors

Victor Osimhen has received multiple honors following strong performances on both the domestic and international stages. At the 2025 Nigerian Pitch Awards held in Lagos, the Galatasaray striker secured the ‘King of the Pitch’ award and the Rashidi Yekini Award for Best Striker of the Year.

Other notable Nigerian football figures recognized at the ceremony included Alex Iwobi as Midfielder of the Year, Calvin Bassey as Defender of the Year, Stanley Nwabali as Goalkeeper of the Year, and Rasheedat Ajibade as ‘Queen of the Pitch’. Remo Stars was named Team of the Year.

In addition to these accolades, Osimhen was named HT Spor’s Player of the Month for August. This recognition follows his start to the season with Galatasaray, where he recorded six goals and two assists in four appearances, establishing himself as the leading scorer in the Turkish Super Lig.
