Chelsea target Victor Osimhen as Galatasaray sets €150m price tag
Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen, who scored 22 goals and added eight assists for Galatasaray this season, has become the focus of a transfer window showdown. Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle suggested the forward might miss upcoming friendlies because he could be seeking a club change, prompting widespread speculation. Osimhen later clarified via social media that Chelle’s remarks were taken out of context and urged fans to ignore the rumours.
Galatasaray has reportedly placed a €150 million valuation on the 27‑year‑old, refusing offers below that level. Chelsea are actively monitoring the situation and, according to sources, have prepared an initial bid of up to £85 million (about €98 million). Other Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, are also linked to the striker, but Galatasaray remains firm on its price.
The player’s contract situation and the club’s strong negotiating stance suggest any move will depend on whether the Turkish side decides to negotiate a deal that meets its valuation.
