Director Victor Vu has officially announced his entry into the 2027 Tet film season with a new project titled ‘Detective Kien: The Golden Curse’. This film serves as the second installment in a popular period detective series.

A first-look poster has been released, featuring actor Quoc Huy as the central detective character. The imagery depicts a grim scene of a massacre on a stranded boat amidst a stormy sea and jagged rocks, suggesting a complex mystery involving various social classes. While the full cast has not been confirmed, there is speculation that actor Vinh Dam may participate in the production.
