Victor Wembanyama Faces Suspension Debate After Flagrant Foul, Draymond Green Weighs In

Warriors veteran Draymond Green said San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama should have been suspended for his flagrant foul on Knicks center Karl‑Anthony Towns in Game 4 of the NBA Finals, though he acknowledged the league’s decision not to act. Green noted that Wembanyama is only one flagrant‑foul point away from a suspension as the Spurs trail the Knicks 3‑1.

On his podcast, Green also called European players “a bit dirty,” singling out Wembanyama and stating, “Victor Wembanyama is a great player. Victor Wembanyama is a European player…they are a bit dirty.” He referenced his own past suspension for a flagrant foul in the 2016 Finals, arguing that the series should not be decided by suspensions.
