Victoria Furtună accuses Moldovan state institutions of weak response to corruption claims

Victoria Furtună, president of the political party “Moldova Mare,” posted on social media that Moldovan state institutions are not reacting sufficiently to public information about possible corruption, influence‑peddling and illicit enrichment. She questioned the performance of prosecutors and warned that the lack of action undermines public confidence. Furtună also remarked that Europe is experiencing political instability and that liberal elites have lost citizens’ trust due to frequent government changes and a shortage of concrete results.

The remarks were published on July 22, 2026, by Democracy.md and reflect ongoing concerns about institutional credibility in Moldova.
