Victoria General hosts annual NICU reunion for families
Families from across Vancouver Island gathered at Victoria General Hospital to celebrate the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nursing staff. The annual NICU reunion, which has been held for 39 years, allowed dozens of families to reconnect with the caregivers who supported them during critical medical moments.
Attendees included parents such as Susanna Yee, whose son was born prematurely 11 years ago, and Leila and Tobias Anderton, who expressed gratitude for the care provided to their twin daughters. Danielle Mulligan of the Victoria Hospitals Foundation noted that the event serves as a reminder of the lasting impact the unit's expertise and compassion have on the community.
