Victoria Jazz Society launches fundraising campaign to save JazzFest

The Victoria Jazz Society has launched an online fundraising campaign to save the Victoria International JazzFest following the loss of its title sponsor. The non-profit is seeking to raise $250,000 to provide a financial runway to secure new sponsorship.

If the fundraising goal is not met by the October 30 deadline, the society stated it may consider alternative options, including closing its doors and discontinuing operations. The Victoria International JazzFest is a 10-day event featuring jazz, blues, and funk that has been held annually for over 42 years.

In addition to the JazzFest, the society manages the Harbour Blues ‘n Roots Festival, a concert series, and various musical workshops and clinics.
