Victoria Luengo stars in films competing at Cannes and San Sebastián

Spanish actress Victoria Luengo is experiencing a significant professional milestone, following two simultaneous premieres in the official selection at the Cannes Film Festival. Her featured works include ‘Amarga Navidad’, directed by Pedro Almodóvar, and ‘El ser querido’, directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen.

Luengo is now participating in the San Sebastián International Film Festival with the film ‘Sants’, directed by Mikel Gurrea. In this production, Luengo portrays Lali, a woman who joins a gang of religious icon thieves while navigating the death of her mother. The film is set in the Sants neighborhood of Barcelona, exploring themes of care and emotional presence.

Reflecting on her recent career pace, Luengo described the experience of multiple high-profile premieres as a ‘beautiful delirium’ that brings both euphoria and exhaustion.
