Victoria Mboko withdraws from Wimbledon due to knee injury

Victoria Mboko, the 19‑year‑old Canadian tennis prospect, suffered a left‑knee injury after slipping on wet grass during the second set of her Queen's Club match against Karolina Pliskova in London. The injury forced her to withdraw from both the singles and the planned doubles event at Wimbledon, where she was slated to partner with 23‑time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams.

Williams posted a message wishing Mboko a speedy recovery, while Mboko’s place in the Wimbledon main draw was filled by Daria Vidmanova. Williams is still expected to compete in the singles draw at Wimbledon.
