Victoria Meter owes over one million pesos to Ciudad Victoria

The City Council of Ciudad Victoria has initiated legal action against the company Victoria Meter to recover more than one million pesos in unpaid revenue generated by parking meters.

Municipal treasurer María Guadalupe de los Reyes Acosta reported that the company has failed to deliver the corresponding funds for over a year. Victoria Meter claimed the withheld funds were intended for the repair and modernization of the equipment; however, officials stated that these improvements have not been made and many devices remain non-functional.

The municipality is pursuing legal measures to recover the debt, which is considered part of the municipal heritage, and is seeking to revoke the company's administration of the parking meter system.
